Enjoyable things today:
Reading a lovely 'number' post at Chera's blog.
Getting positively whupped by Brittany G. It feels really good to have a hard hitting fight. I was thinking the other day that I might loose my toughness if I didn't get pounded soon in an informal, continous fight. I certainly did get pounded but I had trouble switching over to continous mode (it was never officially declared as such a fight but she was fighting like that) so I didn't come back at her like I should have the whole time. Nevertheless, it was awesome.
That above paragraph sounds very twisted. But I'm sure Samuel and BonnieJean understand. Which is another enjoyable thing.
Reading a ton of Dark Force Rising by Timothy Zahn. Man, he's such a good writer!
Deciding to just drop The Once and Future King. I liked the first two parts (Sword in the Stone and Queen of Air and Darkness) and drug myself through The Ill-Made Knight and started trudging through A Candle in the Wind when I finally just got sick of Lancelot and Guenever and gave it up as a lost cause.
Counting up what I've saved over the last 4 months. Very enjoyable. In fact, we're going have to watch that 'whole love-of-money' thing.
Getting to see Jaron H. He's on leave until the 28th and says it's flying by very fast. Then it's back to Alaska until October, Iraq for a year, a month leave, then 6 months somewhere, and then he's done entirely. The second class decided to sing Happy Birthday for him because obviously he won't be here on his birthday. hehehe... I think we surprised him on that.
Starting a water bottle fight out in the parking lot. BJ had very sweetly offered me the last half of her water bottle which promptly went down the wrong pipe and then was coughed back up. She then continued to be sweet and filled it back up for me. I drunk about half of it and then on an impulse splashed Ethan. He splashed me, I splashed Naomi, Isaac got me, we threatened Cindy multiple times, Ethan almost got Mr. Sauter, Ethan got Larry, and then I rolled down the window so Mr. R. could get Ethan. Don't worry, it didn't get on the seat. We were all, however, a little chilled driving home. I don't think BJ will ever hand me a water bottle again.
I'm going to go to bed now. Tomorrow I shall try to tell you about Mama's and mine Walmart parking lot adventure Saturday.
