Last night we had a miniature adventure. Naomi was very tired from camp, so she didn't go to karate. Dad picked up Ethan and Joshua and went to Alert Cadets in the Volary. So that left BJ, 'Uel, and I driving home in the van after Karate. As we were rolling along highway 51st, right before the exit for Garnett Rd. the van stopped responding to the manual controls for the air/fuel ratio. (It won't adjust itself properly anymore, so you have to do it for it.) And everytime she tried to give it gas via the pedal it would try to flood. That went on for about 30 seconds, then the engine quit. We did manage to get pulled over, but just onto a striped area between the highway and an entrance ramp. So we tried all sorts of things to get it going again, and then started walking. Then a nice car salesman (in a beautiful BLUE pickup. It was a dodge, and dodge has this blue that's enough to make me drool, even though I prefer chevy trucks.) named Lawrence Bright, drove us to a gas station, and let us use his cell phone. So we called Mama, who called Mrs. Jackson to get Phillip's cell #, then called Phillip who called us, and then came and got us. And Mama and Dad drove off in the Volary to get Burk, and of course he behaved perfectly for Dad. GRRRRRR..... Anyway, it was fun to meet someone new, and to get to visit with Phillip and Stephen.

Saturday evening we went to the Ponds for James and Joel's 12th and 7th birthday party. That was just too much fun, except for the fact that Ethan cut himself on some barbwire.

Right now Samuel and Naomi are at gym, Ethan and Mama are getting him a tetanus shot and then going walking at the Rec center.

TODAY MARTHA COMES!!!!!!!!!! oh, no. I'm not excited. BUT SHE'LL BE HERE WITHIN 4 OR 5 HOURS!!!!!!! AND WE'LL GET TO TALK, AND TAKE PICTURES, AND TALK AND... Ok, maybe I'm a little excited.
