Ok, I haven't updated in a week and two days, but I haven't been on the computer since then either. I've found that unless I get my time earlier in the day it just doesn't happen later.
Friday: We went and saw the 10:35 showing of Finding Nemo, which was the cheapest because it was the first showing. I realllllly liked it! "Mine! Mine! Mine!" Then we went to a million different computer stores, and Samuel got a moniter, speakers, and mouse. Josh doesn't like ergonimic keyboards, so he's giving his to Samuel because Samuel loves ergonimic keyboards. Oh, and we found out that for nine of us it's cheaper to order 2 Mazzio's takeout pizzas than to eat at Taco Bell. Cool, huh?
And because Samuel's computer isn't here yet, he put his new speakers on thsi computer, and it's sooooo much better than our old ones. Right now I'm listening to the Black Beauty soundtrack. I think this could qualify as heaven. And they only cost $15! Mama and Dad are eyeing them appreciatively, and thinking "Man, only $!5!".
Saturday: There were two drama workshops on Sat. at Tulsa Bible Church. The morning one was for 16 and under, the afternoon one for 17 to 107. So, while Ethan, Naomi, and I were in session BJ and Samuel sat out in the gym and supposedly did school, but quite often were seen peeping in. And then while BJ and Samuel were doing it we sat out in the gym, and supposedly did schoolwork but were quite often seen peeping in. But despite that we did manage to get some school done!
The workshop was very cool! He filmed each of us first having a conversation with him and then reading one side of a phone conversation as well as we could. And then we watched it, and pointed out the differences between regular talking and acting talking. He called them human qualities. Then he talked a little bit about constructing characterisitics and back stories for characters you act as. Then he paired us off in groups and gave us a half/page script that we had to perform. I liked Ethan and Naomi's best. Two strangers hiking and trying to decide wheither there's something in this cave they walk past. They did a real good job!
Sunday: Bro. Steve had a real good sermon with the text of Isaiah 1 and the condition of the church today. Very convicting. Then we had the revealing during S.S. and all signed a card, book, and put our addressses in an address book for Jenny Hall. Next week will be their last week with us, so we're having a meal after evening service for them. I'm going to miss Jenny!
During evening service they did a slide show of the mission trip to Arizona, so BJ, Samuel, Ethan, Naomi, and I went to that. Looks like they had a very fruitful time. They did a basketball camp in the morning, vbs in the afternoon, and fed the kids supper and snowcones. And they also canvassed 800 homes. Doug said the pastor seemed a little bit nervious at first, but by the end was an old chum.
Then after evening service, Josh Fellman talked us into going to Mazzio's for the youth pizza party that they have once a month. It was tons of fun! I sat with Rachel Matheney at one table, and we had Abbi, Sarah Carey, Sarah Mahaffey, Mary Matheney, Heather Day, BonnieJean, Naomi, and Samuel all come by, visit, and leave. I think I ended up visiting longer with more people than if I had been walking around. Oh, and I had 2 refills of Dr. Pepper, and ate two slices of Italian Sausage pizza.
Wednesday: We went swimming!!!!!!! Yeah, yeah, yeah! I did very good diving for it being the first time this year. I think I could live in the water, as long as I had sunscreen. I did sunburn real bad along my part, because I forgot to sunscreen there.
Mama hurt her ankle Mon. by walking 15 minutes longer than she usually does at the Rec Center. Weird, you wouldn't think 15 minutes would make that much difference.
We watched Tuskegee Airmen yesterday. It wasn't terribly politically correct, but was very sad. Almost all the main character's friends died.
I better go catch up on other people's bloggers and the RI. Love y'all!
