Happy 5th of July! Just think, you're not listening for a soldier at the door because of what you signed yesterday!

We played firecracker-guards last night, i.e. we watched Steve and his drunk friends shoot off fireworks in their yard while we sat in our yard with the phone in case anything went wrong. As far as we can tell, they all survived eachother. They had some really nice large fireworks. We bought some, set off some lotus flowers and sparklers, but we're saving most of it for another night. Prolongs the fun that way.

Isaac stepped on a little clover bee Friday afternoon. His foot swelled up terrible that night itched and hurt all Saturday, and started blistering Sunday afternoon. The doctor says it will peak today and to bring him in if it doesn't get better after tomorrow morning. He's having to keep it elevated so he's getting to watch the Princess Bride while reclining on the couch. You don't suppose he's faking it? ;)

Dad has the day off and doesn't have to go back to Broken Bow until next week!

Sirena hatched one chick Saturday and two Sunday. She's being a good mommy and the chicks are positvely adorable!

"Truly, you have a dizzlying intellect." "Wait until I get going! *pause* Where was I?" "Australia." "Yes, Australia, and you must have suspected that I knew the powder's origin so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me."

Videos are so distracting.

I've been invited to a sweet sixteen party for Emily B. and Sarah L. on August 7th. Mrs. L. said it will be a formal so wear a prom or evening dress. :o Shall have to go by Goodwill.

I have been having terrible sinus problems at night. Benadryl is such a blessing!

Samuel tests for his blue belt tonight. He'll nuke it. He's trying to talk Dad into coming and watching.

Mama is starting to walk at the Rec Center again because of the heat. I'm glad, because I'm getting really tired of running past road kill. Makes me nauseous.

I'm gonna go get a carbonated beverage. Feels good on the throat.
