Howdy! I'm tardy, my profound apologies!
Just spent a long time (not sure how long) on the phone with Dad going over algebra problems. It was geometry, which I like thankfully, and all was smooth sailing. But, alas, now I have no good excuse for algebraic procrastination-which, to quote Dave Barry, "would be a good name for a rock band."
I really MUST mail Chera the video of Twin Desperados. It's amazing how long I take to get the simplest things done...
Mama got a book from the library yesterday called Cowboy Princess by Cheryl Rogers Barnett. She's the oldest daughter of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. They adopted her when she was 9 months old from Hope Cottage in Dallas, Texas. She has since met her birth mother. I have not read the book yet but have looked at the pictures. I want to research the genealogy because she looks amazingly like Grandmother. Not quite as similar as BJ is to Grandmother but even more than Mama looks like Grandmother.
Monday night I finished up testing by doing my plurals. I had 3 of them, 2-1, 3-1, 4-1. 2-1 was Mr. M. and Cody (a little purple belt) against me. 3-1 was Brittany, Alicia, and Jordan (black, black, and brown respectively). Jordan hit me in the jaw but it's fine now. The only bad thing that happened there was I fell down when he hit me and rolled on my bad ankle. OUCH! Mr. M. sees me blinking back tears and starts checking my mouth which made it difficult to talk enough to tell him that it was my ankle. :) But we went right on and it's fine now. The next was 4-1, Mr. M., Brittany, Alicia, and Jordon. I made 2 points on all of them but the first which was 3! It was a lot of fun! I have various aches and pains here there that are healing up nicely.
Samuel downloaded the funniest song yesterday: Teenage Mutant Kung-Fu Chicken by Ray Stevens. Tis positively priceless!
BJ's ticket situation is getting more and more maddening and more and more in God's hands. They're hoping to get a ticket confirmed pretty soon for the 21st but even that is iffy. Faith-building experience is what we keep telling eachother. "Lord, I believe! Help Thou my unbelief!"
BTW, I think that it was positively brilliant to surprise all the Iraqi terrorists by doing the power hand-over Sunday instead of tomorrow. We need to bathe that whole country and people in prayer.
I have a sudden urge to send some e-cards and practice kata. See y'all later!
