Sunday afternoon we got a call from U. Kirk. He and family had gone up to Michigan and Chicago to visit friends and see Eric graduate from boot camp (He graduated as the most improved recruit and at level E3. He's going to be stationed in Florida for 3 months, and might get leave in August.). And he said they had some extra time and wanted to swing by here. So we ran out and bought hamburger meat and buns, and whipped supper. They got here about 7, we ate, talked, cleaned up, talked, made beds, talked, and finally went to sleep. They left the next morning about ten.

Monday we tested for our yellow belts. The whole family passed, but we don't get our belts till next week. Just as the second class was starting, Mama called Mr. Murry's cell to get ahold of us to let us know that U. Rod and A. Leona were on their way with ice cream! We had known they would be in town (U. Rod has some business), this week, but we weren't sure when we were going to meet up. They stayed till 'bout ten, and we had a real good visit.

Tuesday night Mama and Mrs. Shaffer went to a church ladies' meeting at Mrs. Anderson's, so Benjamin on down came over to our house for chili, ice cream, and to watch Treasure Planet. We had a real good time. And I had all their names straight by the end of the evening.

We're still battling allergies or some kind of sickness. Please pray for us.

I found a turtle on my walk today this is slightly larger than a quarter. He doesn't seem happy in our aquarium, so after Dad (at work) and BonnieJean (cleaning at the Arnette's) get to see him, we'll put him back where I found him.

I'm desperately behind in emailing and letters.

Mama bougth BJ a volleyball the other day. All we need now is a net. Until then we're going to use the nets down at the park.

Gotta go. Love y'all!
