Goodness, altogether I have invited 7 people to my birthday party (Jenny, Abbi, Kathryn, Becky, Naomi, Kathryn, and Anna) And 5 of them (Jenny, Kathryn, Becky, Naomi, and Kathryn) have all called to say they can't come. Anna hasn't R.S.V.P., but she had told me before that she was coming, and Abbey (I can never remember how she spells her name.) has R.S.V.P.. (Goodness, I have a lot of paranthesis in this paragraph!) I wonder, while writing in the past tense should it be R.S.V.P. or R.S.V.P.ed?
Worked like mad out in the yard this evening. Mowed for a good hour and a half, moved some landscape timbers (Some of them were rotting away and gave me a headache), and put away chickens. Came in looking someone had rolled me through the dirt. I feel soooooooo much better now that I've had a shower. My head still hurts a little, though.
Yesterday I got my birthday package from A. Catherine! She gave me... I don't know the name of it, so I'll just describe it. It's heavy-duty, all cotton book bag with an American flag on the back and shoulder straps. It's reallllllllly comfortable and I'm sure it will come in very handy.
Yesterday I wrote Rita and JC instead of writing here. Next I'll be writing Mrs. Gerald, then Uncle Fred. I also need to write Alicia, Sharyn, Chera, Kiwa, Miss Johnson, and send A. Catherine a thank you card.
I started a new piece on piano, Bach's 8th Invention. The right hand starts out a measure before the left hand. When the left hand starts, it justs mimics the right hand from the beginning. It goes like that all through the piece, without the notes ever clashing. It's supposed to go really fast, and has lots of tricky fingering. I'm going really slow now, making sure to get the fingering correct. I like fast, happy pieces.
I'm deadly curious as to what Dad and Mama are going to get me for my birthday. I haven't heard a word out of anybody. They must have settled it before Dad left, or the other day when I was mowing when he called, because I haven't heard them say anything. And whenever Mama has gone shopping, she hasn't forbidden me to look at any bags. Maybe Dad is picking it up in Denver.
Please pray for the P. (see 7-26-02 post) Mr. P.'s dad is dying of brain cancer, and they'll all be going down to TX soon to be with him.
We're having vanilla ice cream, chocolate cake with vanilla icing, Dr. Pepper, Root Beer, Sprite, beans, and beef tomorrow. And we got all the house cleaning done today. We're going to make origami boxes, the penny game (a get-to-know-you game.), and possibly PIT or Ultimate Uno.
I need to watch a movie and go to sleep now. God bless! Love y'all all very much! ~Anna~
