Today was Claremore's homecoming parade. Ethan, Joshua, Caleb, and I walked in it for Cole. We had the Butler Car (very fancy sports car, courtesy of Oologah police chief), a huge pick up, and about 30 people, most of us walking. At the beginning we were waiting for other floats to go past us so we would be in the right order. As I'm standing there with Cole, Debbie, Lisa, and Melissa we see one tiny pickup with a Scott Walton sign drive by and about 20 ft. behind Scott and Rosalie Walton running behind it. There's a brief moment of silence as we wait for the rest of them... and then we all busted up laughing because that's all there was. Maybe I'm just mean, but I think that's my favorite campaign experience so far. Scott has boasted that he has the hometown advantage, he graduated from Claremore high, this should have been his big event...I think Melissa summed it up good. "Way to turn out the support!"
