I took Caleb to Walmart so he could get Mother's Day gifts. He picked out some really cool stuff! I picked pictures to print off for my wallet photo album in Taiwan. I cleaned out my drawers. I went on a walk with 3 boys and 3 dogs. I've started washing various clothes I know I need to pack.

What's funny is that it was entirely possible for that to happen to him. Grand champion of blackbelt kata is a three-way competition between men's empty hand division, women's empty hand division, and the weapons division. Crista won the ladies and weapons' division so she competed for grand champion with empty hand and weapons, receiving two scores. For the record, by a half point Dennis was grand champion.

"I think they're training Dad to be a secret agent."--Samuel, after Dad's higher-ups decided to send him on a month long desert training in June/July. This will make I think 7 weeks of training so far this year.
