So yesterday I had about half of a lovely, chatty, little post written when Mama looks at her wristwatch and says "Anna, aren't you working 2-9?" I check the stove clock (1:09)-"yeah, I still have 30 odd minutes." "Anna honey, my wristwatch says 2:09." Naomi: "Yeah, mine says 2:13." Panic! Turns out the power had gone off earlier in the day so the stove clock was off. So I just closed my window and flew out the door while Mama called them. Good news: I got there and am not in trouble. Bad news: the post is gone.
Missions Tournament was oodles of fun! I got 3rd in kata and fought up a division in fighting and did fairly well considering. There's entirely too much tell and too much for me to write after talking about it all evening. I feel a need for a change of subject.
I've been thinking about some fundraisers for Samuel's trip to the Phillipines. I'm thinking about a Goof-off Tournament. We could have unique weapons (frying pan, wet noodle, walkers), 3 armed-fights, 3-legged races, tobi kicks length competitions, sumo bumper cars, chento on a log, fighting in the dark (literally, not the kata), king of the hill (any ideas for getting a hill into the dojo?), and dividing into teams and timing how long to make a human pyramid. Instead of trophies we could give out rubber chickens or pink belts or something. We would probably do one event at a time and divide by size not rank.
I have Sunday off again! And I have 5 days this week! Praise God!
I am so not ready for winter. I hate the cold.
We have a new, WORKING printer. Hallelujah!
I'm sailing through the biology book, having oodles of fun and shocked at how much I've forgotten. I have high hopes for taking the CLEP in December.
I'm going to drink my tea while listening to Mama read Little Fuzzy and then take a shower and go to bed. Love y'all!
