One bright day...
I'm feeling tons better, PTL! Still slightly congested in the ears and guzzling water all the time, but at least my throat no longer feels like splitting in two.
Spam has totally devoured my yahoo email. Oh, well. It's the the annonymous one I hand out to strangers and was kinda expecting it to get hit with spam. It's my gmail one that I really like.
The kids are watching Joseph, King of Dreams. It has the song You Know Better Than I on it. I love that song! I first heard it when we were majorly remodelling right before moving here and I was turning into an emotional basketcase. I should dig up the lyrics and post them here.
It still doesn't quite seem real that the church building is done and we're going to stay in it! God is so good! It's a wonderful building and everything's working great!
Texas is the best! It's been amazing to watch the New Orleans evacuation and recovery and then Houston's evacuation and to note the differences. Texas was light years past Louisana.
On the subject of Katrina and Rita... I positively despise the mainstream media. They're always negative and they're stuck on stupid. They all complained that Bush didn't go to New Orleans, he was off vacationing in California. With Rita, Bush went to TX and some idiot reporter asked him three times in a row, all in a very rude tone-of-voice, if he wasn't sure he'd better stay back so he and his entourage wouldn't get in the way of the rescue efforts. I'm sure Bush was thinking ''Speaking of entourages in the way...why don't you leave?!" That poor man has to put up with so many idiots to do his job.
The weather is definitely getting cooler. *sighs* Mama and Jen are positively dancing on the rooftops over this, but I'm already missing summer. Although, I am looking forward to Thanksgiving, toesocks, and the purple mums that bloom in the fall.
I need to go do laundry. I shall leave you with a quote of the day.
The front door opened onto cool, misy darkness.
'And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.'
Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
