Wednesday Night Church

I love Wednesday night because I get to enjoy just the kids! My class is the smallest, just Jo-Jo and Ryan. Jo-Jo is quite, shy, and has a calculating mind. Once he warms up to you he is extremely loyal. At first I thought he was bored by my games because he always a very expressionless face and if you ask him 'Do you want to ___?' the answer is always no. But if you start doing it yourself, he'll do it too, and even ask for it next week. Ryan is my laughing ball boy. Give him a ball and he's happy. He's going to be a World Series Pitcher someday, I'm sure. He's such a little ray of sunshine.

And then there's all my 9-13 year old girls I hang out with before and after nursery. Ashley, Amber, Hope, Leslie, Maggie, and Hannah. I still think I'm their age so I'm having to adjust to the 'High-Exalted-Teenager-Who's-So-Grown-Up' status they bestow on me. I hope I'm a good example to them. I chewed three of them out this evening when they were all rejoicing over a certain little brother not being there. Hope it made an impression. But seriously, they're good girls. There are no petty cliques, skimpy clothing, or 'parents-are-so-dumb' attitudes and they're all genuinely friends with eachother and me.

I was going to write about phonecalls I've had with sundry people recently and being done with chemistry and writing study guides for future homeschooled civic students but tomorrow is another day!
