tried out our very first quill! Mama looked it up on the internet and made a chicken quill and a goose quill. The chicken quill is rather scratchy so I prefer the goose quill. Right now we're just using some Japanese ink Mama has that's actually for brushes. It's a little runny for quills which makes it messy, but it was still real fun!

I'm reaching the high state of nerviousness where I feel like my kata is worthless and I should just demote to a whitebelt again. Just breathe in and out...
