Here's something I wrote about Terri Shiavo on the RI. The whole thing just makes me feel sick. God have mercy on us!

I could go on about this forever but here's my choice words.

Food and water aren't medical care. There are some hard ethical decisions when someone's heart and lung functions are being done by machine but all this lady needs is food into her blood stream directly rather than through her digestive tract. She can even swallow (otherwise she would be drooling all the time and you can see with videos that she's not.), she just can't chew. Food and water are part of the right to life (life, liberty, pursuit of happiness) protected by our constitution. We don't even treat animals or murderers like this.

If you're wondering if this is inhumane read We Thought We Heard the Angels Sing. It's a story of a plane that went down in the Pacific during WWII written by one of the guys when the war was still going on.. One of the group actually did die of thirst. It proves beyond any doubt that it's painful to be without food and water.

Why did the Schindlers drag the courts in? Why not just a family decision? Forget about who's right or what Terri's medical label is and just put yourselves in their shoes. You know she was abused, you suspect he actually tried to strangle her, he has not given her the chance to continue therapy, and now he wants her to die. You can't do anything about it unless the guardianship changes. The only way to do that is legally. Would you try to make a family decision about the life of your daughter with someone you suspect made her like this, has alterior motives (the money he'll get when she dies), and didn't love her as he should before she was hurt? Parents die for their children. Why are you upset that they fight a legal battle for their daughter?

From that website:This Blog is for the purpose keeping family, friends and prayer warriors informed on the status of my son Luke (18 months old). Luke drowned in our backyard swimming pool on Monday August 30th. He was revived in the ER after more then 30 minutes. He needs another miracle that God will restore his body completely. End quote

Luke's condition is very similar to Terri's. His brain was without oxygen for too long. Now he is severaly brain damaged. He used to be on a feeding tube but because his legal guardians give him therapy he is now majorly improved and off the tube. Several of y'all keep saying that Michael has given Terri therapy. When? How long? What kind? Has he done what his doctors and leading experts in the field say will help her?
