Another interesting article I read.

Mama and Dad are to the CHEF parent's night. Poor Dad was pretty tired but likes to support CHEF dads who actually show up for things. The dads never show up for things; the moms have become cynical and stopped inviting them. But Mr. Ja., Mr. G., Mr. Ju., and Dad are trying to reverse that.

We have Su and Burk up and running now! With Su it was the radiator and with Burk it was a burnt wire between the alternator and battery. I got to help Dad with that part! Ran all kinds of diagnostic (those electrical/wiring diagrams are so interesting!) and eventually found it. We then stripped the burnt part and splinted it back together. So fun!

BJ and I were talking about Acts 17:28a last night. It's the one that goes like this...

For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.

We brought up the question that most little kids have at one time or another, 'If God's everywhere, am I standing on Him?' I had been reading The Universe Next Door by David Sire and on his chapter on Christianity he makes the point that God is not present as matter like an object such as a rock. BJ and I came to the analogy of fish living in water. Water is everywhere and in it they move and live. In fact, they can't live out of it. They have their being in water. However, they're don't eat it or rest on it like they do eachother and rocks.

Listening to: Pirates of the Carribbean soundtrack. BJ reading the Icarus Hunt to Naomi, Joshua, and Isaac. Both highly recommended.

Wearing: Coburn for Senate t-shirt, black jeans, black belt, two hairties-pink and purple.

Drinking: About to go get some good old milk.

Thinking: I need to call JC. And about kata. I want to do Wansai Ni for the OctoberFist. I really hope to place higher than 4th this time. It will be a smaller tournament. I need to start doing it 5 times a day first day of September. I'm sure that's the only reason I placed at the May tournament.
