It's been kinda a sad day. I went running and wasn't even down the hill towards the lake when I had to start walking because of my foot. When I got down in front of the lake I came across a turtle that had just been hit by a car and was still alive. I wanted to put him out of his misery but couldn't figure out how. There are no big rocks around there and he looked well enough to still swim if I put him in the lake. I ran back home to get the B.B. gun. Mama heard how bad hurt he was and said he would be dead by the time we got back down there. Which was good because I really didn't want have to shoot him.
All that was first thing this morning and has had me down all day. And on top of that Naomi pushed Joshua and he stepped on my hurt foot. And the cherry on top is that Dad is still gone.
*digs around in files* I know we have some cheerier stuff down in here...
BonnieJean has posted pictures and a post on her blog! Has a picture of Leo that I'm sure Dad will want to see.
The church voted unanimiously (sp?) Sunday to have Scottie T. as our pastor. He seems cool. He started his sermon by saying that his dad had encouraged him to preach an encouraging sermon because Mother's Day sermons are always sweet and Father's Day sermons are "Behave!" Our whole row almost broke out into applause. He's not that marvelous of a preacher but he can learn. ;) His wife's name is Lori and his girls are Enie (sp?) 6, and Dori, 5. Lori has spent several weeks at the Mayo clinic with some health problems. They haven't said what her symptons are and they weren't able to diagnose her.
Went swimming today for 1 1/2 hours! The water was just the right tempature. Ahh...
Mr. M. agreed to everything I asked about testing Saturday. I can walk through the spin on the kata and I don't have to do my left-180-crescent-kick. He's just so nice! He could have every excuse to say "If you can't do your kata you're not well enough to test."
To do...
Stretch
Finish Algebra lesson
Hang clothes
Read more of my library book, Love in the Driest Season. I've just started and can't tell you much about it.
Practice violin. Haven't been able to do that as much as I would like. Need to priortize (sp?) it.
Get a report about possible activities for the Young Republicans club ready for tomorrow.
Wearing: Black jeans, white teenpact shirt, purple bandana, chipped purple nail polish, and glasses. I need to go put my splint on for my ankle.
Listening to: How do you like me now? by Toby Keith and the kids playing.
Eating: Wheat. Yum!
Thinking: My foot hurts and Toby Keith is a good singer and I miss BonnieJean.
Gotta go. Love y'all!
