I've decided to write my essay on Benjamin Rush. What would you talk to Benjamin Rush about?

I've been missing Chera's blog posts. She's off in South Caroline with grandparents. I'm not sure if she has internet access there. Hope she's having a grand time!

Worked in the yard today, taught Isaac, went running, practiced piano and violin, and worked on math. I felt kinda tired all day but it was a good day.

Dad is just so awesome! We were all sitting down to supper and he just started talking into his hands (giving it a address-system sound) while giving directions and list of events for the evening phrasing all of it like a pre-flight address. Then at the end thanked us for coming to the B.'s Walk-in Movie, Pancake, and School House. :)

This is from James' blog who has, as usual, expressed one of my thoughts more eloquently than I ever could hope to.

I don't know if I can put this into words, but I'll do my best. I've been reading some weblogs. A few of my absolute favorites are written with such transparency that I seldom leave without a deep sense of connectedness. As broadly varied as we are externally, we are so similar on the inside; people, I mean. We all know what it is to hurt, to fear, to have joy, and to have dreams. And there are moments when I finish a profoundly vulnerable piece of writing and want to say to the writer, "I love your soul." But that would sound silly. Yet there's not any other way I know how to put it.

How many people do we come across who hoard bitterness and hatred? How many revel in their licentious behaviors? But when you find a godly person - not a perfect person, only one who heartily and fervently desires to grow closer to God - you've found a gem.

To each of the gems whose weblogs I read: I love your soul.

Quote of the day: "Christianity is the key to the door of success for every nation."--Ethan, one of my brilliant bros.
