Mama and Hannah are so sweet! I feel very encouraged and much better physically.

Little Titus T. will be having surgery Friday on his toe. It runs in his dad's family to have extra bone in their feet making their feet very wide. Mostly they have just bought wide widths shoes but Titus' are too wide period for shoes.

Yesterday was Summer's (our neighbor girl) last day of school. Her mom offered me $50/week for watching her 32 hours/week. That's like 1/3 of minimum wage, and it would take up enough time that I couldn't have a summer job. So I told her that it wouldn't be worth it to me unless she paid me a lot more and that it wouldn't be worth it for her to pay me that much. So, she'll end up in daycare. I've always been staunchly against daycare because it would be so much better for the kids to be with a parent. But in this case, me watching her wouldn't solve the problem; Her mom would still be working. What really gets me is that her husband doesn't want her to work and they can live just on his salary. She just wants the perks of money and not having to be at home. BTW, I'm so glad my parents like being home with us.

There was wailing and gnashing of teeth this morning when Samuel realized we had scheduled his reception on the same day of ABKA's black belt testing: June 12th. This would mean we can't watch and that quite a few people wouldn't be able to come. We then counted up who we had given invitations to (that say June 12th) and it was only ten or so karate people. So Samuel's calling 'round to let them know we've bumped it forward a week to June 5th. Let's hope we don't discover something else vitally important on June 5th. ;)

Our family coordinator, Catherine P., is going to church with us and home for dinner this Sunday. She lives out in Skiatook and we haven't gotten to meet her. She's trying to see all the Tulsa-area ATIers over this week. Sunday is also Uel's birthday so we gonna try to have the H. over, too. That way Catherine can meet them and Uel will have a nice party, too. We're all madly cleaning. Which I shall now get back to. Don't worry, Old Eagle Eyes, you'll get your bio!
