A holliday! A holliday! There's nothing like a gollyday! (That's a quote from a little kid's book which I can't remember the name of.) Anyway, today's Veteran's Day; Dad has the day off, therefore we do, too! So, far I've done my mornig chroes, had breakfest, practiced violin and piano, and went out to the garage to help Dad. Dad didn't really have anything for me to do because he is helping Samuel build another chicken coop (The one we have now is good, but not big enough for all the chickens).
U. Kent and family (including Duke) are coming up for Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!! *dances on chair, desk and computer* *shhhhhhhhh* Don't tell Mama! They'll get here on Thanksgiving prob. around 3. Friday all of them or some of them are driving over to Ft. Smith, AR to go some really cool shops there. Then on Sat. Dad and Kent are taking Erica, Naomi, and I to a Father/Daughter conference all that day. And then we'll take them to church on Sun. to show them off, and they'll leave Mon. We're going to do a lot of baking while they're here. Yum!
Mama is having to run errands. Milk, stamps, and then all the way over to Oologah (sp?) to get an eye antibiotic for Dixie, who has an infected eye. She took Ethan and Caleb. BJ is studying, and Samuel and Dad are working in the garage. Naomi, Joshua, and Isaac are outside playing.
I babysat for the Bowers on Friday. It went really good and I had a lot of fun and more importantly the boys liked me, even though I always calling them by any name but their own. And Mr. and Mrs. said that they would use me again if the need arose, so I'm just tickled pink!
I sure do miss the Ponds. His dad died on the 25th, but they haven't moved back up. I'm sure they have a good reason.
Ack. I didn't get to write nearly as much I wanted to, but there is tomorrow! Until then! ~Anna~
