Ever had one of those days where you work and work and start feeling tired, but still haven't accomplished anything?
The Gold Edition of LOTR is out and I'm drooling at a pretty constant rate. Star Wars: Episode 2 is also out on DVD and that has added to the salivia discharge.
The frenzied excitement over U. Kent's upcoming visit continues to climb. Today we bought a gallon of raw cream for the baking we plan to do. Samuel dropped it while putting it and 3 gallons of milk away. The lid popped off and we lost some, but not more than a quart. Even after a thorough wiping with a warm rag, the floor continues to be unnaturally slick. *thuds from the kitchen*
I've been playing a lot of chess lately. Samuel, Ethan and I are going to a tournament in Tulsa on the 7th of December, so we're plugging away at each other. Chess is such a fun game. I really need to learn to guard against this move that Samuel does with his knight which forks my rooks. Seems like I fall for it every time. Last night I lost fairly decently to Samuel, whopped him once good, and then lost terribly. Now does that make any sense?
Dr. Bower was called up for surgery last night, so Mama and Dad took Caleb's stitches out themselves. He was a real pill about it. They wouldn't even be touching him and he would keep up a constant scream. Nevertheless, the stitches are out and we are not deaf.
We have a cold front coming in, but they're predicting warmer temperatures with the start of next week.
Josh is waiting to be scheduled for a hearing. They have not pressed criminal charges yet. His lawyer went on the local talk station today. He didn't go into enough detail, I thought, and said "ummm" way too much. But, the host was very sympathetic, so I think it will be good for them.
I got a new watchband on my Indiglo Timex today. It's just black with a design that resembles crocodile scales. I like it!
I'm going to treat myself to a computer game for the remanding 22 minutes of my computer time.
Unyodels! *Anna*
