We had another thunderstorm around 12:45 to 1 this afternoon. The power stayed on and it was altogether a nice storm. I love the sound of thunder!
I made 103% on the biology test! I earned 2 bonus points by listing 2 extra organelles that are involved in protein synthesis, but then I missed one of the nucleotide sequences in another question. So, that all added together to to an A++! I am most tickled!
I just hit Kalen on the head with a crowbar. He insulted chevy trucks. He just ran off crying Mommmmmmmeeeee! Don't you just love the freedom of expression the internet gives you. ;)
Went to the library today, but didn't check anything out. I'm busy reading a book here at home. Ethan, Joshua, Isaac, and Caleb all got dolphins for reading 20 books this summer. Naomi already got her's. They all desperately want to go swimming now with the dolphins. Now that my sinus have finally settled down I would love to go, too.
Mama and Dad are going to an ATI couple's dinner with the family coordinator and assistants tonight at the B. Mama made dirt (chocolate cake and oreos crumbled into chocolate pudding and chocolate icing.) for the dinner and for us. The one for the dinner is in a flower pot, and she has a miniature pitchfork which will go in it. Very cute! I can't wait to eat some! While they're gone us kids will watch Will Roger's Conneticut Yankee. I've heard a lot about it. Hope it's good! We also got 4 cans for peaches for 99 cents each for supper!
Just Sarah at the RI posted some more news articles about Merwyn. Witnesses said he died while trying to save his friend, who was swimming with him. Man, what do you type after that? Rachel (Disciple of God.) posted his obituary and 2 poems friends wrote, plus a song played at his funeral. The poems wouldn't mean anything to y'all who didn't know him, and anyone here that did know him is on the RI. But the song was really good. It's BlackHawk's Ships of Heaven.
Don't cry for me when I'm gone
Keep the faith and be strong
'Cause through it all I've been blessed
I faced my fears
And I've passed the test
So when you look up in the sky
On a sunny day
Imagine me drifting away
I'll be sailing on the ships of heaven
When the tide rolls out for the
Last time
You'll find me sailing on the ships of heaven
Waiting for the day
I come sailing back to you
Remember all the times we had
Some were great and some were sad
But you know that in the end
Our love was stronger then when we began
No unforgiven sins and no regrets
Just the times of our lives that we'll
Never Forget
I'll be sailing on the ships of heaven
When the tide rolls out for the
Last time
You'll find me sailing on the ships of heaven
Waiting for the day
I come sailing back to you
I'll be sailing on the ships of heaven
When the tide rolls out for the
Last time
You'll find me sailing on the ships of heaven
Waiting for the day
I come sailing back to you
When the tide rolls out for the
Last time
You'll find me sailing on the ships of heaven
Waiting for the day
I come sailing back to you
On the ships of heaven
I come sailing back to you...
The last couple of days have been so sad, but have filled me with awe. To think of anyone you knew standing in the presence of God Almight is breathtaking. It's a witness to God's grace that He would let anyone in blemished with knowing me. But, such is the measure of His grace.
Other RI news... Crimson is going vegetarian. I'm not surprised. She's the type. Heather is back from her mission trip. Rachel has left for Botswana with teen mania. Very interesting topic about what we want in a spouse. And besides that I don't know because I'm behind on the RI!
Time to eat! God bless!
