Well, ok, it really did post it it just didn't SAY it had posted it. So we now have a lovely double post!
Today has been productive. I've taught Isaac, practiced violin, attended young republican meeting (got a lot done there!), went to a book sale (got a bunch of mid-40's Reader's Digests!), written Miss Johnson, and hung clothes. I still need to do algebra, some kind of exercise (not running, I'm afraid. Maybe swimming...) and a shower.
BJ has not emailed what time we should call here. I guess we'll just call at 8.
We got a lot done at the meeting. The executive board will consist of the chairman and vice-chairman of the organization, one general member, and the heads of the publicity, constitution, program, and finance committee. Treasurer and secretary will attend, keep records, and make recommendations, but not have votes. The chairman of the organization is a member of all committees and has a vote in each. Executive committee can veto another committee's decision. Executive committee decisions can be overturned by 2/3 vote of general assembly. Elections are once a year. We have no term limits or nominating committee. We made a list of our basic planks and we won't support anyone contrary to them. They are pro-life (no abortion, euthansia (sp?), etc..), pro-second amendemnt, against religious oppression and homosexuality. I think Samuel will probably have a constitution for us to ratify next week. After that we'll need programs and people to attend programs. It looks like we're gonna try to have a fellow come and speak about parliamentary procedure (that would probably just be us core members. It's not exactly an exciting subject, but something we need to know.), and after that we'll have Tad Jones come and speak. We have a wild hope of getting Tom Coburn, Kirk Humphreys, and Bob Anthony, all come at one time. That would be really big because they're all running for the same republican seat and it's really close to the primaries.
Pray for Mama. She's a-having sinus trouble. Me, too.
Catch y'all later!
