From the prayer board...

Yeah, I'm in a good mood at dinner 'cause I was joking with my friends and goofing off. Then I called my mom. She had some news the sent the good mood out the window. Now I'm mad.

Dad's been pastoring this little church in Central Oregon for 6 months and things have started to happen. God's been opening doors for some really cool ministry and people's lives have been changed. Well, the enemy has also been attacking through a board member that's been trying to control everything Dad does. Dad has tried to do mediation and has compromised and etc, but this guy hasn't been happy. So Dad gets a call from the divisional guy and turns out that a different board member hasn't been happy either. The divisional guy (for our denomination) asked Dad to resign the church and to give the decision by Friday.

So yeah, I'm not very happy right now and I'm worried that this is going to be bloody. See, we KNOW that this is where God wants us and the fruit is obvious and if we fight, the board members are going to make the difference and it's a divided board. I'm also worried about the people Dad has ministered to. They're going to get hurt if Dad resigns or if this gets anymore political.

Why can't we just be concentrated on God and let that be the focus?

*sighs*

So yeah, prayer is needed and wisdom. I'm stewing right now and I don't need that with all that is going on here at college. Pray that the parent's are able to approach this calmly and with love and that anger won't be an emotion that is involved.

Liz and Steve, if you can call me sometime I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
