*drumroll* *trumpets* It's me! *crowd cheers* *confetti explodes everywhere*

Do you think I might be slightly egotistic?

Ok, we'll get serious now. Yeah, right.

Karate was real fun last night. We had some guests from another school, Liberty was the name I believe. One of their black belts stretched us out and went over some kicks with us. I liked the different stretches he did and how long he held them, but he didn't have us run in place or do jumping jacks before hand, so I was real sore afterwards. Then we went over Kata. I think I'm getting Heian Neidan fairly well now. It's a lot more interesting than Heian Shodan or Tek Yo Ken-Sho (sp?). Then Miss Brittany Garza took the yellow belts and we worked on chambers for our kicks, particular roundhouse kicks. "Ok, up. Hold it there. This is your chamber. Don't fall down. Make sure you're centered on your back leg. Remeber, you should be able to balance a china plate on your leg here. It should be parallal to the floor. Ok now out. Hold it there. You're hitting with the front of your foot. The foot that's on the ground should almost be facing the other way. Back to chamber hold it there while I check everybody. Don't fall down. Ok, put it down. Let's do it again." Next week I'm going to bring paper plates. Then we sparred. Yeah, beat everybody up! Actually no, we're doing very light sparring. Today we did a little bit one-on-one, but mostly what' called King of the Hill. We make a ring, two people fight. The loser steps out, somebody fresh comes and fights the winner. Samuel won 3 matches and lost on the fourth. I lost mine. One the one-on-one sparring I got to spar one of the older yellow belts, and I think I'm slightly better than her. I need to work on throwing my round house faster.

I'm terribly behind on the RI and on bloggers. But I have gotten several emails written, so I'm terribly please with myself.

I've been practicing taking pictures on the camcorder a lot lately. Pictures are sooo much fun! I've gotten some real good pictures of clouds, and lovely picture of Sirena. She and Silver are getting so pretty. Looks like we're getting two roosters out of this batch. I can't wait until we get rid of Ready Rooster. He clawed Joshua on the knee the other day fairly bad.

Tonight Mama, Naomi, and I are going to a girls' swim party at the Shoemakers. I'm trying not to get my hopes for a full size pool up.

Oh, guess what?! We get to swim in the Goodwen's pool this summer! The last two years Dad's been real concerned about using it for free. But this year Mr. Goodwen is letting us buy the chemicals. Yeah, yeah, yeah! We're all happy now!

The gladiolas have been blooming and are just knock-you-down gorgeous. God makes such beautiful colors!

I think I shall go play a computer game.
