Went to the dentist today. No cavities!
It was 72 today, slightly humid, with spatterings of rain in the afternoon. The tulips were especially pretty today.
Samuel and Joshua went to the doctor today, were diagnosed with strep, and given antibiotics. Isaac was crying this morning because his right ear hurt, so Mama brought him along. But because of various weird procedures they weren't able to give him a perscription. grrr... but they were all very sympathetic. The group of doctors there are nice, but just too busy. We're thinking about switching to a pediatrician on Blue Starr that some of the other homeschool families have recommended. Something else to pray about.
JC and Elizabeth are back from Mexico, and Elizabeth posted an account which was extremely interesting. Sounds like they had a God-touched time.
If JC has not posted on his blogger by day after tomorrow everybody send him mail bombs. It will have been a month since he updated.
The Claremore library has gotten several Jeeves and Wooster movies!!!!! *the crowd goes wild* We rented two today, and watched one, The Very First. It was a hoot! Wooster was certainly a mess before Jeeves. From some angles Hugh Laurie look somewhat like a Sutton.
We need to see about getting and sending Miss Johnson a birthday gift.
Naomi is finally getting her birthday party this Wednesday. She is having 8 girls over-Laura Fowler, Susie McCombs, Anna Gastelum, Rebekah Johnson, Hannah Sutton, a Snipes, a Donegann and one I can't remember.
Here's some lyric is Steven Curtis Chapman song that Elizabeth posted on the RI. Never heard it before, good words.
Bring it On
Steven Curtis Chapman
I didn't come lookin' for trouble
And I don't want to fight needlessly
But I'm not gonna hide in a bubble
If trouble comes for me
I can feel my heart beating faster
I can tell something's coming down
But if it's gonna make me grow stronger, then...
Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let the trouble come, let the hard rain fall, let it make me strong
Bring it on
Now, maybe you're thinkin' I'm crazy
And maybe I need to explain some things
'Cause I know I've got an enemy waiting
Who wants to bring me pain
But what he never seems to remember
What he means for evil God works for good
So I will not retreat or surrender
Now, I don't want to sound like some hero
'Cause it's God alone that my hope is in
But I'm not gonna run from the very things
That would drive me closer to Him
So bring it on
Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let the trouble come, let it make me fall on the One who's strong
Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let me be made weak so I'll know the strength of the One who's strong
Bring it on
Bring it on
My throat is almost totally normal and I have all my strength back. Praise God!
Love all of y'all!
