Good afternoon, adoring fans! (Please don't pop my bubble!)
The trip was wonderful! We had a nice visit with Miss Johnson. We all played for her (I got nervious and played Bach's 8th invention terribly!) and then she played for us! I have never heard her play before becasue of her arthritis. She must be taking something for it, because she sounded beautiful! Oh, and before we visited her went out to where we used to live on Cactus St. Our trailer is still there!!! And the porch, the trees, the shed, and the central heat and air! It was all like I remembered it, but smaller since I was little then. We ran through the field, pausing at the Big Mesquite which, oddly enough, didn't seem very big! After visiting with Miss Johnson we went to the Barclays for supper and talked late into the night. Then we went to the motel, showered and to bed. Went to church with the McCloys (good sermon about needing to remember our former life and salvation before we can instruments of revival.) and then to their house until 3:45. Talked and talked. Got home around midnight.
