I'm not in the mood to write about today, so I shall write about Sunday.
We were late to church, Isaac was a pill during the service, so I completely missed the point of the sermon. Mrs. W.'s message was excellent though. We've been doing a study of how Jesus loved people. We've been studying John 4 (Samaritan woman) for a while. Sunday we talked about worship. Did you know that the Greek word for worship means to kiss, as a dog licks it's master? It's interesting compare the amount of adoration and passion in our worship to your dog greeting you as you come home. And then we went over to Revelation to the scene of the 24 elders casting down their crowns. That's actually a sign of surrender, as it's what a king would do when he surrendered to another. And, then there's the famous verse about God only being worthy of honor, and glory. I felt really convicted. I was disappointed about only having one girl over. And then Mrs. W. started talking about how wanting glory for yourself is idolatry. Here I was wanting my friends to come over and enjoy me, and say sweet things about me on pretty cards, and pow! I'm in idolatry. So, I cleared that up with God, brought Abbi home, and had a great time.
Catherine and Naomi L. each had gifts for me even though they didn't come. Naomi gave me butterfly hair clips and colorful toe socks. And Catherine gave me purple shower gel, nail polish, body glitter, picture frame, and key chain And Abbi gave me a snow gel with flowers inside, a heart necklace, and personalized pencils! I just can't say enough about how much I like them! And Mama and Dad are going to get me a new wooden bow for my violin! *dances on chair* I've wanted one for sooo long!
Today I need to...
Start biology study guide
Do 2 biology "experiments"
Shave legs.
Go over sign language with Joshua, Samuel, BJ, and Mama. (I've gotten behind.)
Practice violin.
And I still need to write Mrs. G., Aunt Catherine, and Uncle Fred. I think I'm forgetting someone. Oh yes! Chera and Sharyn.
Adios!
